Urban

URBAN brings together outdoor, urban and street photographs shaped by observation, public space and the everyday edges of the built environment.

  • Darkened colour photograph showing a marina channel, dense yacht masts and moored boats beneath heavy blue-black cloud, with the Auckland Harbour Bridge at left and a narrow band of dawn light on the horizon.
    Dark Morning

  • Dark early-morning photograph of a marina filled with black masts and boats in silhouette. A vivid red, pink and orange sunrise glows along the horizon, reflected in still water beneath a darker blue sky.
    Red Sky

  • Darkened colour photograph showing the Auckland skyline and Sky Tower in silhouette across calm harbour water, with a heavy dark cloud mass above and low dawn colour reflected below.
    Dark City
  • Vertical colour photograph of pale blue and pink wooden railings forming a layered geometric grid. A dark post divides modern houses and a silhouetted tree in the background, under cool blue dusk light.
    Bauhaus Blues
  • Black and white overhead photo of a dead bird on pavement, surrounded by fallen white blossom and twigs, with a curved twig resembling a crescent moon nearby.
    Bird & Moon
  • Black-and-white photograph of a large rounded tree behind a pale timber fence. Houses frame the tree on both sides, utility wires cross the sky, and bright sunlight reveals the grain and knots of the vertical fence boards.
